What is a laser treatment?

Lasers are being used in more and more cosmetic practices for amazing results. A special kind of light is focused onto the treatment area. Unlike most light sources, the laser light is tuned to very specific wavelengths allowing it to be focused into powerful beams for the best possible treatment. It passes through the skin and is then absorbed by the water in the damaged collagen of your skin. This action allows the laser light to evaporate the very fine layers of the skin, resulting in diminishing the look of wrinkles or other unwanted textures. The laser has the ability to selectively treat the problem areas allowing the surrounding skin to be minimally affected resulting in little to no irritation to the skin.
